Eligibility
Only individuals who fit the criteria below are eligible for the research program:
The applicant must be a Ph.D. student
The applicant must be registered at a UK Higher Education Institution

The UK’s professional body for geography, the Royal Geographical Society supported by the Institute of British Geographers, is committed to the increase of knowledge in and promotion of geography.
Launched in 2008, The RGS-IBG Postgraduate Research Awards caters to Ph.D. students carrying out research and fieldwork.
The Awards comprises of
The Albert Reckitt Awards
The Walters Kundert Grants
The Geographical Club Award
The Hong Kong Research Grants, and
The Dudley Stamp Memorial Award.
The Organization aims to enable geographers in the UK and worldwide to establish themselves in their discipline.
All applications will be reviewed based on stipulated criteria, with particular priority granted to students who do not have full funding from a research council, university or equivalent degree of support from other sources for research work
