Selected event attendees will:

  • Work with facilitators to further shape their leadership style, helping them become trailblazers in their personal and professional lives.
  • Receive a thorough understanding of the McKinsey problem-solving approach, which they can put into everyday use.
  • Receive access to a network and connection  of like-minded professional women
  • Create genuine connections with peers as well as McKinsey colleagues and alumni


The event is open to:

  • Applicants who currently reside  in the Asia-Pacific region or interested in pursuing a career in the Asia-Pacific region;
  • Students graduating no later than 2021 or professionals with less than 7  years of work experience.

Application Instructions

All supporting documentation should be written in English. To apply, upload, and attach  the following documents to your application:

  • Resume: Your resume should provide details of your education and grades, work experience, and extracurricular activities and achievements.
  • A cover letter (optional): A cover letter of one-page maximum, should include applicant’s experience of demonstrated leadership and fostered effective teamwork with a diverse group of people. 

This diversity could include people with different areas of expertise, background, education, culture or nationalities, ethnicity, gender, orientations, personalities, or work preference.

  • Your office or practice preference: When you apply, choose from the participating offices listed below, two office locations, or industry practices to review your application and consider selecting you. 

It’s advised that you make your selection based on geographic or industry attachment- where you’ve resided, worked, or studied. You should be fluent in the local language(s).

About the McKinsey & Company Next Generation Women Leaders Asia-Pacific Program 2020

The Next Generation Women Leaders Asia-Pacific event is a two-day virtual workshop that explores the importance of women in leadership. The event is an initiative of the McKinsey Women arm of McKinsey & Company. 

McKinsey Women is a global firm-wide network of female consultants, a powerful resource that provides formal and informal mentoring, training, and relationship-building opportunities for women.

The initiative aims to solve operational challenges today, to create growth and resilience tomorrow.

Key Dates and Order of Program

The deadline for submission of applications is July 27, 2020
