Apply for the IBRO International Travel Grants, to receive grant funding to participate at international neuroscience meetings set to take place between January – June 2021. 

Selected Neuroscientists will be awarded funding to take part in high-calibre programs towards the advancement of their career.

Selected Neuroscientists will:

  • Receive grant funding of up to 1800 Euros. 
  • Receive access to a network of scientists, discussions and activities dedicated to the promotion of scientific research in Neuroscience.
  • Participate in international neuroscience meetings taking place between January – June 2021


Application for the International Travel Grant scheme is available for all Neuroscientists, excluding those residing in the USA and Canada.

About the IBRO International Travel Grant Program 2021

Established in 1961, the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) is the global federation of neuroscience organizations focused on advancing and supporting neuroscience around the world through effective educational activities. 

IBRO aims to promote scientific research in all fields concerning the brain, promote international collaboration on brain research worldwide, and disseminate information relating to brain research.

To advance the work, career, research, and knowledge of neuroscientists, the IBRO International Travel Grant was launched  to foster neuroscience research, especially in less-funded countries. 

IBRO will provide support to exceptional neuroscientists from multicultural and scientific backgrounds who are interested in participating at international neuroscience meetings taking place at the stipulated period.

Key Dates and Order of Program

The deadline for application is 11:59 p.m. (CET) on September 6, 2020. 

Preference will be granted to applicants who have not obtained funding from this scheme within the past three years.

Selected applicants will not be allowed to change their selected conference of meeting once selected.
