Eligibility
To be eligible for the Master’s Programs, Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
Male applicants must be no older than 30 years of age
Female applicants must be no older than 35 years of age
Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree from a recognized university, with at least a second class upper division or equivalent, in a relevant field
To be eligible for the Doctoral Programs, Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
Maximum age of 35 years for male
Maximum age of 40 years for female applicants
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field from a Pan African University or any internationally recognized university
Requirements
Candidates may be required to take a written/oral examination after pre-selection.
Candidates for the Master in Conference Interpreting and Translation programs must have excellent knowledge of at least two of the African Union’s official languages (Arabic, English, French and Portuguese).
Scholarship recipients should be committed to working in Africa after completion of studies.

Established off the initiative of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union, the Pan African University(PAU) is a Premier continental university network committed to providing quality postgraduate education to students in a bid to facilitate change in Africa and advance a prosperous Africa.
The African Union Commission is directing the provision of full scholarships for Africans to study at the Pan African University.
Outstanding and enterprising applicants from African countries and the African Diaspora are encouraged to apply for the Masters or Ph.D. degree program at any of the following 4 PAU institutes:
Pan African University Institute for Basic Sciences, Technology, and Innovation (PAUSTI), at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Kenya.
Pan African University Institute for Life and Earth Sciences- including Health and Agriculture (PAULESI), at the University of Ibadan (UI), Nigeria.
Pan African University Institute for Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences (PAUGHSS), at the University of Yaounde II and the University of Buea, Cameroon.
Pan African University Institute for Water and Energy Sciences -including climate change (PAUWES), at the University of Tlemcen, Algeria.
